Greetings Visitors and Welcome!
A little note of introduction...
In all of my written works, there is one theme that remains the same; that is our
ability to look at life through the lens of mythology. Ancient religious myths, as well
as new sacred myths, are windows into the ways that humankind views itself and its
relationship to the Supreme Source. For me, religious myths provide metaphors, ways
of seeing, rather than concrete belief systems. The word 'religion' comes from the
Latin, "religio" which means 'to link to,' and so people are naturally very protective
of the way that they have found to link to the Divine. While we may not relate to other
people's religions, religious myths exist as indicators of how people connect to the
Eternal, and of how they reconcile the trials, challenges and glories that make up
their lives. Myths also give us seasonal celebrations, a multitude of ways to celebrate
being alive.
There have been times when religious factions have challenged the "truth" of various
religions, but this kind of "truth" will always be highly personal. I say live and let
live. As long as we are treating each other well, these views need to be respected.
Regardless of the spiritual stories we gravitate to, regardless of our own religious
persuasion, we can all know Life's magic, appreciate our Maker, and try to do a bit
of good in the world.
~ Kind Regards, Jennifer.
